Pitbull at Universal Mardi Gras!

So we went to see Pitbull at Universal Studios Mardi Gras last night. It was so extremely busy, and it didn't help that as we were trying to walk to the concert area, the parade has JUST started! So this meant battling through the crowds lining the streets AND dodging flying beads, LOL, which was quite fun actually!

We couldn't quite get to the stage area due to the crowds, so we snuck through the Jimmy Neutron gift shop and found an exit door that led us to half way up the concert area! We were on a raised sidewalk area so decided to stay there, even though it was to the side. Was a great view except the huge palm trees they have kind of block the T.V screen, grrr!

Anyway he came on bang on time (Unlike when MC Hammer came last year and made us all wait ages AND was rubbish!!). His show is so energetic, I didn't expect it to be! He sure likes to thrust, a LOT! Really did make me want to re-learn Spanish though as he spoke it for most of the time in between songs, so I could only pick up the odd word in-between screams! :-)

We didn't stay for the whole show, as we always sneak off a little earlier to avoid delays in the parking garage. But from what I read on Twitter, it was a nightmare getting out, so good choice on our part!

I took pictures but my camera's zoom is really poor, so please close one eye, turn your head to the side and squint slighty.........and you can see Mr. 305/Mr. Worldwide/Armando/Pitbull!!!!!!!!

Movie filming in Orlando!!!

Renee
Renee is an independently produced feature film that has already begun shooting right here in Orlando! The movie is inspired by a true story about an Orlando teen who battles addiction, depression and self- injury, the film will show her road to recovery. 


Kat Dennings plays Renee and Chad Michael Murray ("One Tree Hill") plays Jamie Tworkowski, who wrote a true story about Renee during her 5- days sobering up. Tworkowski posted the story on Myspace and it had such an overwhelming response from teens going through, or someone close to them going through a similar situation that he created a non-profit group called "To Write Love On Her Arms".


Since 2006, the TWLOHA team has responded to thousands of e-mails from over one hundred countries asking for help, as well as donating almost $1,000,000 for treatment and recovery.


Singer and rapper Travie McCoy not only sings in the movie but will be in it also.


The film is being shot in various locations in Orlando and Valencia Community College, The Dave School, and Full Sail University are participating in the production.

Filming began Feb. 23 and will wrap on March 29, 2011.

Fun Spot Commercial!

Ok so if you live in the Central Florida area then you have heard about Fun Spot, and seen their commercials on TV! The ad's catch your attention with their cute jingles and the fun dancing! "Fun spot days are here again HEY!" So I recently heard they are advertising for people to come along to their International Drive location and be in their next commercial!

Taping is from 9-am till noon this Monday 28th February, each participant will receive a $20 gift card to one of their amusement parks! All you need to be able to do is walk down a street and do basic movements! So I'm thinking I might go and try it out, anyone else thinking the same thing?! I've never been  in a commercial before so it might be fun! I'll let you know if I can successfully persuade someone to come with me! LOL

Ellen is coming back to Universal Orlando!

I am so so excited as yesterday I got the call that we had been selected to get tickets for when Ellen comes back to tape her show here at Universal City Walk Orlando!! I had registered for tickets as SOON as they would let me on the website, but I never dreamt I would get them!! I was lucky to get them back in 2007 but I had already planned a trip back to the UK which ran through those dates, and wasn't able to change them, it was so upsetting! Even more so when I found out Jennifer Lopez was the guest that year! Ugh!

So I really really wanted them this year, I'm shocked I got them this time! She will tape two shows on Sunday, April 3 which will air April 5 and 6. Guests have not been announced as of yet, but I will be checking as often as I can to see who it may be!


I just hope they allow cameras....and food! The caller told me we have to be there by 9-am, despite the taping starting at 12, so I hope they allow snacks and drinks too. I am now counting down the days to it!!! :-)
