Renee is an independently produced feature film that has already begun shooting right here in Orlando! The movie is inspired by a true story about an Orlando teen who battles addiction, depression and self- injury, the film will show her road to recovery.
Kat Dennings plays Renee and Chad Michael Murray ("One Tree Hill") plays Jamie Tworkowski, who wrote a true story about Renee during her 5- days sobering up. Tworkowski posted the story on Myspace and it had such an overwhelming response from teens going through, or someone close to them going through a similar situation that he created a non-profit group called "To Write Love On Her Arms".
Since 2006, the TWLOHA team has responded to thousands of e-mails from over one hundred countries asking for help, as well as donating almost $1,000,000 for treatment and recovery.
Singer and rapper Travie McCoy not only sings in the movie but will be in it also.
The film is being shot in various locations in Orlando and Valencia Community College, The Dave School, and Full Sail University are participating in the production.
Filming began Feb. 23 and will wrap on March 29, 2011.

Not sure if I should admit this, but I loved One Tree Hill when Chad Michael Murray was on it! I became addicted to the show during my maternity leave (sigh). It's not the same w/o him now!

Oh no it's totally cool to admit it!! I loved him in Cinderella Story!!! We were extras in the movie last night so I got to SEE him!!!! From 10 feet away but still!! I'll write about it later but it was an amazing experience and hopefully we were in a lot of shots!!! ;) so exciting!!!! :-D
